Diploma Thesis Poster for IT Spy Competition

My master's diploma thesis is focused on the issue of color perception by people with color vision deficiency. It describes individual deficiencies in terms of their origin and influence on human color vision. It presents existing approaches dealing with prevention of problems of people with color vision deficiency, especially in the field of website design, graphical interface design, visualizations, and graphical design. It also deals with theory of colors and their representation in various color models. Additionally, this thesis includes an editor created for the CAVER Analyst application whose goal is to check that chosen color schemes are suitable for people with color vision deficiency. This editor also allows simulation of common color vision deficiencies and for all of them, it can check a sufficient difference of individual colors. Finally, this thesis includes created color schemes suitable for people with color vision deficiency based on color harmony and theory of scheme types.
I created a poster for the presentation of my work in the IT Spy competition.

Lappizoo

The final project of the Graphical Design course was a series of symbols for a hypothetical zoo. My zoo was Lappizoo and it was inspired by Lapland. There are only Nordic animals in this zoo, so you can see here wolf, lynx, moose, ox, reindeer, bear, and fish like salmon. All pictograms are similar to cave paintings and traditional illustrations. In the zoo, there are also directional arrows, toilet pictograms, and a map on leather in this style. As promotional materials for Lappizoo I created a series of funny mock-ups like mugs, bags, and sweatshirts you can see below.

IBM Thanks Card

As an audition work for an internship at IBM, I created a thanks card. It was for their part Mozaiko. I made it very playful and used colors from the Mozaiko logo.

Book Series

My final project from the course Typography was a book series. I chose five books on the wolf topics:

The Bravest Dog Ever: The True Story of Balto, Kazan, Eight Below, A wolf called Romeo, and White Fang.

I chose natural colors such as blue and green and situated the mock-ups to mountains. The book covers are decorated with fine line drawings of the outlines of these canine beasts. A pattern created from the images of outlines decorates entire covers.

Poster V4

This is my design of the poster for the V4 anniversary competition. Visegrád 4 are four states that collaborate together (the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary). In my proposal, you can see the connection of V and 4 in one strip. There are also 2 other strips with the beginning of V4 and the year of the 30th anniversary. The colors are the same as the colors of flags of countries from V4.

Seslab Logo

One of the projects from the course Graphic Design and Multimedia Project was the logo for Seslab. It is a laboratory of service systems that deals with smart cities. My logo was constructed as high buildings that look like SES from one point of view. Buildings are in a bubble that connects them together.

MUNI Shop

I created a design of promotional items for the MUNI shop in the course Graphical Design and Multimedia project. I made new logos for every faculty from MUNI font and other designs. It can be used on masks, umbrellas, pillows, mouse pads, and scarves.

Butterfly garden

I helped my brother with ideas and graphics for a sample educational game Butterfly garden about catching butterflies in his thesis: A Platform for Interactive Training Materials Development.

Greek dish recipe

Galatopanda

This recipe is the final project from the course Balkan Grill - Fragments of Balkan Cusine. I cooked a greek galatopita (special greek pie) in the shape of a panda and then decorated it with chocolate and caramel. It was so yummy!

Christmas Recipe

This recipe for Christmas sweets was the final project from the course Food preparation - tips and suggestions.

Healthy Zoo

I combined names of animals and fruits/vegetables that sound similar. Then I designed animals that look like these fruits/vegetables. You can see:
Hroznýš (hroznýš = boa, hrozno = grapes)
Zelín (lín = tench, zelí = cabbage)
Brokolvice (lvice = she lion, brokolice = broccoli)
Rybíz (ryba = fish, rybíz = currant)
Okurka (kur = hen, okurka = cucumber)
Chřestýš (chřestýš = rattlesnake, chřest = asparagus)
Češnek (šnek = snail, česnek = garlic)
I had it printed on the t-shirt as a present for my partner who loves to play with words.

Another series to Healthy zoo. This time I combined animals and furniture in the room.

Axolotl Owner's Guide

I made an axolotl owner's guide with funny illustrations to bring information closer to new pet owners.

Aquarium for Axolotls

As an axolotl owner, I designed and had my own wallpaper for the aquarium printed, which can protect my Mexican pets from daylight. It looks like a flooded Aztec world and aquarium at the same time.

Gruffalo

I like the Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson. It is about a mouse that goes through the forest and creates an imaginary creature that eats the mouse's enemies. In the end, we can see that this creature exists. I made this IT version with a PC mouse, searching trees for the forest, and a fox that looks similar to the one from firefox.

Digital Design Magazine

In 2021, the Studio of Graphic Design and Multimedia FI MUNI designed its own magazine called ITy as a final project from the Digital Design course. I participated in this project and created illustrations of IT concepts taught by our faculty. Moreover, I wrote a part of the short story together with three other people like a relay. I created also a kakuro rebus as a fun part of the magazine.

Toilet pictograms

As an exercise in the Graphical Design course, I designed a second character for the toilet pictograms. Both always had to be in the same style. You can see my best pairs below.

MUNI helps

Another project from the Graphic Design and Multimedia Project course was a poster on Instagram and Facebook for topics Muni Pomáhá. I chose to create a proposal about a very noisy party, and how to solve it.

Anti-Ferda

I created this mock-up and logo for the chemical project of one of my friends. It was a new insecticide.

Study at FI MUNI

My partner Michael Koudela was chosen as the face of the faculty and added various posts about the study for future applicants. I helped him with the graphic form of some posts to make them nice and in the faculty style.

Graduation Invitation

I designed my own funny invitation for my graduation, which I then distributed to my relatives.

I practiced vector graphics on this series of vector animals created from a few lines.

Design for Brno MHD ticket machine

Proposal for the ticket machine decoration competition.

Jost and his horse enjoy winter fun. Every year there is an ice rink under this Brno statue. And I thought that the horse would also like to ice skate.

My work in a marketing agency
